“The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases.”

Carl Gustav Jung

Y’all I don’t play around with my feet, knees, and back. I’m super aware of what shoes I wear because of the pain that I experience daily. If you’ve been following my blog, you already know, (I’ll post links below).

Post #55 Owning My Curves — Scoliosis Warrior.

My body is beautiful and sacred, I want to be that fine old lady, going on walks with energy to be mobile with the young folks. So as of now, I wear shoes for function first, quality second, and style third.

In my perfect lifestyle scenario, I’d have my work, leisure and errands in walking distance. As a Caregiver, I wear a uniform scrubs/polos and rotate 2 pairs of athletic shoes that I can run, walk, and squat in. If you live in the city, you know the most affordable and comfortable shoes are a priority.

I use to own a large selection of heels when I attended church every week. I fussed and cared highly about being dressed in a new outfit so frequently you’d turn your head at my entrance. Vexation and vanity, because I hate heels.

Here’s a close up of the fancy tools from hell 😈😜

I own 2 pairs of heels now, and will hold onto them, as I transition into owning low heel boots only, that’s where I’m headed in the shoe department. In the future I’d like to invest in a new pair of athletic shoes to swap with my current black/white pair.

I’m not a sneaker head, that’s not my hype. My shoes may not be extra fancy, but they’re affordable and comfortable for me. In the end, that’s all the matter, using tools that help us along with our life’s work.

Whatever you decide to own, I hope that it creates ease and comfort to your life. I hope that whatever you own, as an intentional consumer, you’re able to focus, save and invest in yourself and family.

“It doesn’t matter how great your shoes are if you don’t accomplish anything in them.”

Martina Boone, Compulsion (The Heirs of Watson Island, #1).
