There is no door,
no walls,
no visible container.
The everyday people,
share stories,
laugh, eat, sing, grin.
Stay or go,
rest or flow,
grounding in gods temple.
I see you friend,
no need to blend,
Thereβs plenty space for you.

All are welcome here,
Open doors, arms wide open,
Food is my offering.
Nature our temple,
The wind whistles, birds chirps song,
May peace remain here.
Fresh air, autumn leaves,
Morning dew, crisp air, among tall trees,
Scents of pine, rain, and soil.
Extend gratitude,
Genuine smiles, tight warm hugs,
Good news, hope, and love.
Thank you for being here and reading.
Iβd like to greet my existing readers and new readers. I appreciate you.
This recent decision to write Haikuβs has helped me get out of the pressure to write long essay formats or even try to write a poem and feel like I failed somehow. I encourage you if youβre feeling blocked, try a Haiku. If youβre feeling blah, step outside for fresh air, or sit in a quiet place for meditation/prayer.
During this season, it seems for the past few years itβs been rough, and so this post, it was my intention to cheer myself up, because words have power and so do our physical environments. I hope that even for a moment, pausing to reflect on what weβre grateful for, just one thing, keeps us going.
Kindly,

I wanted to prescribe some pleasure for you. This is a gentle reminder, to settle down, take a break and release, in the form of a haiku. Everyday in December, I’ll share a total of 31 poems. Today is about allowing yourself to enjoy simple pleasures.
Fruits are a daily pleasure:
Succulent citrus,
Ripe, drizzling down my full lips,
sweet, delicious drip.
This weekend I need:
Full, bodied, big gulps
Of berry, cherry, sweet tobacco,
Makes a mellow gal.
Misunderstandings,
We call it failures, mistakes,
Trials that make us new.
I cannot hear you,
Hold on, pass me my glasses,
Please repeat that again (:
Newborn eyes squinting,
Smiling with a rainbow daze,
fresh, renewed, amazed.
A safe space to land,
Damp, salty, snotty, pillows,
Cries to soothe the soul.
Thee fine fellow says,
Discard the lingerie,
Your warmth is enough.
Finally youβre free,
Beloved you are enough,
May you dance, sway, bop.
