Your skin is divine,
Your form, majestic and strong,
Every inch and hue.
I stole their tea bags,
I traded dishonesty,
For dandelions.

2 December 2021
I havenβt written here in awhile, and so Iβve been thinking that just even a few lines on a page will do. Everyday in December I will post a haiku, so youβll see 2 posts today, this introduction, and another making up for the 1st of December
To refresh and inform, What is a Haiku?
The haiku is a Japanese poetic form that consists of three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third (Britannica, 2021).
So Itβs 5, 7, and 5, gotcha. This is the format, however let the words flow and remember donβt let the numbers restrict you, there are other patterns and modern haikuβs.
The term haiku is derived from the first element of the word haikai (a humorous form of renga, or linked-verse poem) and the second element of the word hokku (Britannica, 2021).
